Has some issues with focusing

bynasj Jun 1, 2004
5 Helpfuls 6 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Camera appeared cute enough; did not really end up testing it out fully
Cons Consistent focusing issues in non-brightly lit areas.
Recommended it? No

Very cute camera, but we found it completely unable to focus in quite a wide variety of situations. We could not get the camera to take any pictures that were even remotely in focus at either a children's dinner, a cocktail party or in our apartment (just basic room shots).

Pros Picture quality. Very small. Stylish
Cons Could have larger LCD. Some issues with USB connection.
Recommended it? Yes

Bought the Blue version for $175. Used it for about a month now. Takes very good pictures. Which is probably what's this camera has best.

I had some issues with USB connection. I have a card reader, so I don't use it much anyway. However, I had to return it the first time for exchange... Read full review »

Adventures with the Maxxum 7D

byPirich Jan 22, 2007
27 Helpfuls 28 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Inexpensive for value, lots of lenses/accessories, powerful features, Flat-out WORKS
Cons No successor yet produced, becoming somewhat rare.
Recommended it? Yes

My first SLR was the first Minolta auto focus SLR, the Maxxum 7000. My second SLR, as it turns out, is the first of Minolta's Digital SLRs, and sadly, appeared at the end of this brand in the marketplace. Now that I had had the Maxxum 7D for a while, I have had a chance to shoot with it in a wide... Read full review »

A Photographer's Camera

Size, Shape & Weight
This camera is almost perfectly sized for average male hands, the only exception being the hand-grip, which could be a bit deeper. The overall shape resembles that of its 35mm bro, the award-winning Minolta Dynax 7, although adjustments have been made to bring it more in... Read full review »
