When we purchased our XBOX 360, the controller came with 2 AA batteries and an adapter to use them on the controller.  It was just fine to get you acquinted with the console and play a game for a day or two (about 2 hours a day).  The AA batteries don't last, even when we use our own Duracell... When I purchased the Xbox 360 for my husband, I also bought two wireless controllers to go along with it. What I should have done at the same time was purchase the Xbox Rechargeable Battery. Cons Poor Sound, No HDMI, Universal Infrared Remote Control, Does not share power supply.

I traded in about 100 DVD's to my local blockbuster for store credit before DVD's become worthless like VHS tapes are now.
