The Game Boy platform (which includes the original unit, the Game Boy Pocket, and the Game Boy Color) came to market when most video game consoles had a life expectancy of just a few years. More than a decade later, the system is still going strong. How did the Game Boy successfully compete--and in some cases bury--an onslaught of faster, more powerful handheld and home console systems? Let us count the ways: affordability, a huge library of games that consistently made the most of the hardware's limitations, smart power management that extended battery life, and uncluttered controls. But perhaps it was the system's ultraportable design that allowed devotees to play video games around their schedule, making it the must-have system for kids and adults alike. Less

Pros Great graphics and games! Smaller unit, very powerful
Cons Poor lighting, no backlight
Recommended it? Yes

Normally, hand held games aren?t my thing, as I find that games simply don?t translate well to a small screen. However, I can honestly say that the Nintendo (and it?s no secret that I am not too crazy about this company), has really outdone themselves with the Game Boy Advance creating yet another... And about the touch screen- like power button , sometimes my foot accidentally hit it and it turned off . Some games... Read full review »

Almost Perfect For Gamers

17 Helpfuls 18 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Amazing graphics
Smooth gameplay
Plenty of variety in games
Cons Not enough hard drive space to store much game data
Recommended it? Yes

The Xbox 360 is a wonderful system, but this version is not for anyone who expects to be playing a lot of online games or downloading content. The four gigabytes that are given fill up very quickly, and after that one would need to go out and purchase a separate hard drive for the console. The... Read full review »
